Welcome to 2021, and to a very creative and prosperous year!
I have always been drawn to textiles and embroidery because I love the colors, pattern and textures of fabrics and threads. Textiles are extremely tactile and keep my sense of adventure in the sewing world very challenged and satisfied.
I have a Masters Degree from Washington State University in Clothing and Textile Design. But my roots in stitching and textiles date way back before I even thought about a degree in this area. I started sewing at a very early age, and by the time I was twenty, I was teaching for Stretch and Sew. I have always used education in some format to further my craving for the world of textiles. I took tailoring classes, quilting classes and attended the City and Guilds of London and received several certificates in free-motion embroidery.
Today, my love is still embroidery, wearable art, vintage ribbonwork, and now I even dabble in beadwork. These mediums are very versatile and provide a palette that satisfies my textile craving.
I teach several classes on embellishments, ribbon work, beadwork and free-motion embroidery. I hope you are inspired as you scroll through my creations and artwork on the next few pages.
