Welcome to Deb's Threads!
I have always been drawn to textiles and embroidery because I love the colors, patterns and textures of fabrics and threads. Textiles are extremely tactile and keep my sense of adventure in the sewing world very challenged and satisfied.
I have a Masters Degree from Washington State University in Clothing and Textile Design. But my roots in stitching and textiles date way back before I even thought about a degree in this area. I started sewing at a very early age, and by the time I was twenty, I was teaching for Stretch and Sew. I have always used education in some format to further my craving for the world of textiles. I took tailoring classes, quilting classes and attended the City and Guilds of London and received several certificates in free-motion embroidery.
I am a National Baby Lock Educator and want to teach others the value of learning your machine from top to bottom. The Baby Lock machines are top of the line and a dream to sew and embroider on!
I teach at national sewing shows across the nation and in stores as requested. Embroidery is my passion but the Baby Lock serger machines are the best in the industry! If you haven't tried one - please stop by your nearest Baby Lock dealer and sit down for a test run. It'll be a treat!
I hope you are inspired as you scroll through my creations and artwork on the next few pages.
