Welcome to another fun and creative year with all things sewing, embroidery and fibers!
I have always been drawn to textiles and embroidery because I love the colors, pattern and textures of fabrics and threads. Textiles are so tactile and keep my sense of adventure in the sewing world very challenged and satisfied. I have a Masters Degree from Washington State University in Clothing and Textile Design. But my roots in stitching and textiles date way back before I even thought about a degree in this area. I started sewing at a very early age, and by the time I was twenty, I was teaching for Stretch and Sew. I have always used education in some format to further my craving for the world of textiles. I took tailoring classes, quilting classes and attended the City and Guilds of London and received several certificates in free-motion embroidery.
Today, my love is still embroidery, wearable art, vintage ribbonwork, and anything with my Baby Lock sewing machines! I teach classes on sewing, embellishments, ribbon work, beadwork and free-motion embroidery. JUST RELEASED:
I wanted to let everyone know that I have joined Baby Lock as an Educator. I am so thrilled and honored to be part of such a great team who embraces not only superior quality, but the backing, support and education that comes with our incredible sewing machines. And Baby Lock products cover every segment of the sewing industry from embroidery, sergers, quilting, sewing, specialty and software. My goal is to pass on the love of sewing to others. I’m planning on assisting dealers at shows, helping out in stores and doing custom classes upon request.
